Do most couples buy a house together before or after they are married?

Mostly after, but if the timing's right and the price is good, there's nothing wrong with doing it before. Buying a house, that is.Do most couples buy a house together before or after they are married?
Both ways.Do most couples buy a house together before or after they are married?
The intelligent thing to do would be wait until you're married. What if you buy a house and things don't work out between the pair of you? Then there is this house payment that someone needs to take care of or trying to sell it...or worse yet....foreclosure.
He bought ours right before and I was pissed off because he didn't take my feelings into account and it was a tough road that we had to patch and now this is it. Make due with what we got so I'd say you all should do it together before.
Nowadays it varies...they may buy before, especially if they choose to live together a while first (prior to marriage) or they may wait until after...often they may even move into the place he or she was living before they married and wait a while before buying a house together.
Legally it is easier if you wait until you are married, its less things to change over like the deed and the mortgage. I think most people do wait until they are married, yet I know alot of people who bought it before marriage.
after they are married
My husband and I bought our first home after we were married.
hopefully after
