Do you agree with gay couples adopting?

I want to know because i plan on starting the journey of adoption in the next few years and i want to know what to expect. kinda like a heads up on what people think. because this is the best way to find out because people can be very honest and tell it like they feel it. so be very honest i can handle the truth!Do you agree with gay couples adopting?
Some straight people are good parents, and some aren't.





Some single parents do a great job with their kids, and some don't.





I think gay people are just as likely to be good parents as anyone else.





Will the kids get bullied because of the parents? I don't know, but kids get bullied for all sorts of reasons. For instance, they might get bullied because the parents are Atheist, or transgender, or because the kids are a different religion from the majority.





Part of the adoption process is the original application and councelling. The councillors are professionals and will tell it to you straight - pardon the pun.Do you agree with gay couples adopting?

What do you tell a kid with 2 mommies or 2 daddies ?





You tell them that they are loved and humans should love each other for who they are. When they ask about the birds and the bees , you tell them who babies are made, and you tell them thats how they came about.


You also tell them that a parent is someone who raises you with all the love and affection and support and that they are just as wanted and loved as a ';traditional'; family.





Any loving home that wants a family is a good choice for placement of a needy child. That includes gay ,straight ,black white. red ,green and polka dotted.
There are way too many children who need families. I say it is better for a child to go to a loving gay/lesbian couple than a couple that is abusive and drinks alot.





Go and get yourself a child and make him/her the best, nicest, most understanding of the world's differences, not racist, sexist, homophobic... uhm... KID that you can!


Screw the people who would rather keep kids depressed in orphanages than in a nice home with two parents!
i personally think that gay couples are likely to be exactly the same as straight couples when raising children, some will make a good job of it and others will mess up royally.


but how does society view this, will they come down hard on gay couples when they fail as parents blaming it on their sexuality rather than reality?


and will children face added difficulties when growing up due to having gay parents or do kids accept this better than we so called grown ups?

If single mums can adopt I dont see why two women shouldnt be able to adopt together (or two men). There are foster kids out there being abused and needing a safe home, if you can give that and you want to, then do. One of the girls in my mothers group is a lesbian and her and her partner had their kids by artificial insemination
I totally agree. I think that there are so many children out there who need good homes...if you can give them a good home then why shouldn't you be able to adopt...I think that gay couples can provide kids with just as much love as a straight couple...you can also teach kids how to be accepting...I love the idea of two women or men with a baby...
i think its a lovely idea. my advice is if you want to adopt, do it becuase you want to, not based on what people think. who cares who you sleep with, it doesnt make you a bad parent. being straight doesnt make anyone a good parent, just a sbeing gay doesnt make you a bad parent.
Yes i think there are too many lonely kids who need good homes.As long as the child is cared for, the way a person is should not affect a thing,some straight couples don't deserve kids,but thats is my opinion.
