If all married couples had any ';special rights'; removed and all people were equally benefitted...?

whether single, gay, hetero, normal/abnormal, whatever.....nothing based on any ';relational'; conditions....would that help gay people quit trying to force their ';i am treated unfairly'; broken record mentality on the majority?

of course anyone with kids natural or adopted would still get deduction)If all married couples had any ';special rights'; removed and all people were equally benefitted...?
If everyone had equal rights, no there wouldn't be a problem. I would have thought that was pretty obvious.

Just for the record, a minority not being granted equal rights counts as being treated unfairly. If all married couples had any ';special rights'; removed and all people were equally benefitted...?
Wait, how would that work? Suppose someone you care about is in the hospital, would a husband not be allowed to see his wife, or would they let ANYONE in?

';Special rights'; is not only about taxes... it's the state showing that it recognizes love, or at least a legal equivalent thereof.
is this nation under god,or is it not,our leader under god,and to legalize this is a insult and wickedness prevail, these people do not believe that their is a living god who created satin,a tempter.if god hate this kind of behavior,we the people under god or or we?
In a sense I would like it because I'm single and it makes me mad I have to pay more income tax than married couples. However, I have no problem with the gay community airing their grievances.
No. Just give gays the same rights that heterosexuals have now that marriage provides. Including marriage. What the hell is so difficult about that?
Yes, that's fine. Less rights for ';everyone'; still means equal rights.

There's a much easier solution though.

Why don't they just give the benefits to same-sex couples also?
If marriage had no legal benefits then it would not be recognized by the state. Ergo, it would mean nothing.
considering hetero's can't seem to make a marriage last i think it's funny they are the ones in an uproar over the situation.

They don't want to marry for the tax breaks, they want to be able to express their love and dedication to one person, same reason MOST people get married.
They can get married, just not to the same gender.
Yes.

Because the gays wouldn't have to be a broken record because they would be treated fairly - at least by the law.
Just because you're bored of hearing it, doesn't make it any less true.
I doubt that this would improve the situation.
yes but there would still be complaints about

women's rights

children's rights

racial rights
