Couples get married on holidays because they love the thrill, can you imagine time to relax, have fun, enjoy life what else is missing? Why not get married? lolz... Couples get carried away on holidays. As to remembering their anniversary..why not ask a couple who married on holidays? ^_^
I got married on a holiday weekend, not on the holiday itself, so that more people would be able to be there for it (plus it was our dating anniversary). The ceremony was in my wife's home town and my family drove 150 miles to be there.
For me, I want to get married on Christmas Eve because Christmas has always been very, very special to me. I assume others do it the same. Or maybe it's a convenient time to get all the family together because they'll all be in town anyway or something.
For reasons couples get married on non-holidays! Because they can - whether it carries a special signifigance or not. It is an excuse for an even bigger party and reception and to have family together celebrating a marriage and a holiday!
probably lol! if i got married on a holiday, it would be to remember the anniversary better lol!
