It's discrimination when a person's sexuality is the only reason for not allowing them the opportunity to adopt. The legal adult I choose as my mate has no bearing on my ability to raise a child.IN whats ways is it discrimination by not allowing gay couples to adopt?
Because they are not allowing them to adpoted strictly on their sexual orientation rather than the home environment.
I'm less concerned with the rights of gay couples to adopt than with the right of children to be raised by a loving couple as opposed to being raised in an institution. This shouldn't be a ';gay rights'; issue, it should be a child welfare issue.
everyone else can....that's usually and indicator
A gay couple can be just as loving and caring as a heterosexual couple. Children just need a family environment to be brought up in, and a gay couple, male or female, can provide that sort of parental care a child needs.
