If teachers handed out condoms to any teen couples how many teen pregnancies would be prevented?

if teachers handed out condoms to any teen couples (or detention for any couples not carrying) how many teen pregnancies would be prevented?

ie active action regardless of deluded parents who think 15 year olds like playing with my little pony and no different to when they were 6 wishes.

But being used to that age group and knowing what they were like.

Or schools issuing depro injections or having a nurse with medical records for safety.

With morning after pills etc available.?

You can't encourage anyone to do anything they dont all ready want to do simple as people make you wear a crash helmet and have first aid available.

Like whats the difference between making kids ware goggles in workshops/chemistry lessons, and making sure couples carry condoms or and are in depro injections (like you would trust a kid to take pills on time) just incase needed...

Bit late after.

But also having morning after pills with the notion drummed into them...If teachers handed out condoms to any teen couples how many teen pregnancies would be prevented?
I always say when my daughter is old enough to get the pill she is getting it im not giving her a reason to go out and have sex just a pill a day will help prevent a pregnancy.

We cant be with our kids 24 hours a day and i cant make her use condoms but can see her taking a pill.If teachers handed out condoms to any teen couples how many teen pregnancies would be prevented?
And where do you want the lawsuit sent to? I totally agree with you but I promise you, the parent that can't tell you their kids eye color would come out the woodworks to be the best parent to sue for money. Nothing is going to stop teen pregnancy except parental intervention. The problem is that parents don't care if the child isn't bothering them. It's sad but it's true. Most pregnancies in teens is because someone is looking for the love and nuturing they have never had. Sorry to the good parents out there. I know it happens to good parents but not at the rate it happens to bad. It's a circle that never ends. They say money makes the world go round but obviously our kids are showing us it's the need for love that keeps it going!
I have said it before and will say it again, everyone should be sterilised at birth. When you can prove you are emotionally and financially equipped to have children then the procedure can be reversed until then until then you will just have to amuse your selves with weekly appointments at the STI clinic.
There is no way of educating teenagers properly about sex. They do want they want and if they want to, they will get it.

I was one. I lost it at 14, I was well brought up, well educated and felt I was in love and ready for it so I did. I think if an adult was to know, or if it was in record at all that my parents could have found out, it would stop me using contraceptives even tho i would make my boyf buy them, but as teens he didn't have much pocket money so it was 'pull out' method. Things like MA pill should be readily available to anyone for free, as like condoms are already from many places.

But you can't force someone to take the pill, whether it be injections or otherwise. These hormones play havoc on the body and aren't suitable for everyone esp for young teenagers.

I have a 14year old sister, I would be horrified at the thought of her having sex (never mind seeing her kiss a boy!) but I think if she needed anything like condoms I would hope should come to me instead of my mum, at least someone is looking out for her - my mother would go nuts and handcuff her to the kitchen sink!

Teens are uncontrollable - take a look at the adult chav population too! There's no easy answer to stop unwanted pregnancies, we just need to hope that sex education homes in on them and makes them realise that no condoms = STDs and babies.
Is this part of the 11+ exam?
Loser
Give girls a small coin; tell them to keep it between their knees - or - get them to understand the correct use of the word NO!!!
It is the parents responsibility to look aftertheir childrens welfare.Teachers are there to educate them which means that young people do have a choice. Kids need to learn that actions have consequences - this comes down to effective parenting as well as education.
I don't think many would be prevented. And as for the depro injections as good as that would be in an 'ideal' world it is highly unethical and would encourage teenagers to forego using condoms which protect against sexaully transmitted infections.

Teenagers need to be treated like adults before any of them will listen to a word that is being said by a teacher or whoever. Drumming into them that they should use condoms or pills does no favours. They need to be given the facts, both the positives and the negatives consequences of a certain factor (i.e. using a condom) and they must be allowed to make up their own minds. Most teenagers will respect you for this which will work out more favourably in the long run. The best we can do as a society is ensure that we equip our younger generations with the ability to think for themselves, even if that means giving them the opportunity to make mistakes.
na how about if teachers uses condoms when they give their pretty students an extra credict then I'm sure teens pregnancies will go down.
